会议介绍Introduction

Bamboo and timber industry promises to be a green and sustainable industry to ensure low carbon future for the construction sector. With the overarching aim of supporting carbon neutrality strategy, the International Conference on Advancements in Bamboo and Timber Industry will promote new concepts of carbon-positive development and will explore opportunities of replacing plastic with bamboo. Underpinned by the strategic needs of innovation-driven development, ABI aims to enhance the technical exchange in the bamboo and timber industry, strengthen the international exchanges and industry-university research collaborations to transform and advance the bamboo and timber industry to develop high-value products to meet future needs of the construction industry.

With the continuing depletion of mineral resources and the alarming deterioration of the environment due to construction activities, the concept of sustainable development has become one of the major considerations around the world. This has led research from across the globe to pay more attention towards the sustainable development of materials and structures. To complement this research need, The International Conference on Sustainable Structures (ICSUST) was launched by the International Journal of Sustainable Structures (SUST), Nanjing Forestry University, University of Naples Federico II (UNINA), US NSF Center for Integration of Composites into Infrastructure, University College London (UCL), Deakin University, West Virginia University and so on in 2022. The aim of this International Conference is to provide a platform for academic exchange, to promote the research of green, low-carbon and sustainable development of materials and structures, and to serve the construction of a better home for mankind. 

SUST is an English-language international journal focusing on the research and application of sustainable structures. Articles are currently published in SUST without any article processing fee (APC). SUST has been accepted in many renowned databases including Scopus (Citescore 14.2, 2023, Q1), DOAJ, SCImago (SJR: 1.93, 2023, Q1), Crossref and so on. All articles published in SUST can be accessed freely using a DOI. The Youth Editorial Board of SUST was established in 2022 to support early career researchers (ECRs). SUST also launched a Symposium of the Youth Editorial Board to provide a robust platform for mentoring ECRs. The symposium will be organized jointly with the annual International Conference on Sustainable Structures (ICSUST) to support growth of the young talents. SUST hopes that this event will become a high-quality communication platform for experts, scholars, engineers, technicians and entrepreneurs.

International Conference on Advances in Civil Engineering and Materials (ACEM) and World Symposium on Sustainable Bio-composite Materials and Structures (SBMS) resulted from collaboration between many reputed institutions including Nanjing Forestry University (China), Deakin University (Australia), University of Naples Federico II (Italy), International Bamboo and Rattan Organisation (INBAR). The aim of the conference is to provide an interactive platform for experts, scholars, engineers, technicians and entrepreneurs engaged in related research to understand the academic development trends, broaden research ideas, enhance friendship, strengthen exchanges and collaboration, and promote the transformation of scientific research achievements.

No conference proceedings will be published as part of this event but high-quality papers will be considered for possible publication in Sustainable Structures, Nanotechnology Reviews, Journal of Renewable Materials and Journal of Forestry Engineering. Registered participants will receive the latest published journals for SUST.

竹木产业为绿色产业、朝阳产业、健康产业、富民产业。“双碳”战略背景下，竹木产业高质量发展国际论坛立足绿色新发展理念，抢抓“以竹代塑”机遇，以创新驱动发展战略需求为导向，增进竹木产业行业技术交流，加强国际交流及产学研合作，推进竹木产业发展转型升级，促进竹木产业高质量发展。

随着地球矿产资源的日益减少、环境的日益恶化，可持续发展理念已逐步成为世界各国的共识；越来越多的学者开始关注材料及结构的可持续发展。可持续结构国际会议由国际期刊《Sustainable Structures》(SUST)联合南京林业大学、澳大利亚迪肯大学、意大利那不勒斯费里德里克二世大学、美国国家科学基金会基础设施领域复合材料协同创新中心、英国伦敦大学学院等机构发起，旨在为大家提供一个学术技术交流平台，促进材料及结构的绿色、低碳、可持续发展研究，服务于人类美好家园的建设！

SUST是一本专注于可持续结构研究及应用的英文国际期刊，无版面费，期刊编委来自全球18个国家或地区。SUST目前已被Scopus（Citescore 14.2, 2023, Q1）、DOAJ、SCImago (SJR: 1.93, 2023, Q1)、Crossref等收录，每篇论文均会分配独立的DOI号。2022年，SUST成立了首届青年编委会。为了增进相互之间的认识和了解，加强学术交流，共同推动SUST的发展，期刊社2022年发起SUST青年编委论坛，并和可持续结构国际会议合办，希望将其打造成可持续结构研究专家、学者、工程师、技术人员、企业家的优质交流平台。

土木工程与材料进展国际会议（ACEM）暨可持续发展生物质复合材料与结构论坛（SBMS）由南京林业大学、澳大利亚Deakin University、意大利University of Naples Federico II、国际竹藤组织INBAR等机构于2018年联合发起；旨在为国内外从事相关研究的专家学者、工程技术人员、企业家提供一个共享科研成果和前沿技术，了解学术发展趋势，拓宽研究思路，增进友谊，加强交流与合作，促进科研成果转化的平台。

本次会议不出版论文集，但可以推荐报告相关优秀论文在《Sustainable Structures》(Scopus、DOAJ等收录) 、《Nanotechnology Reviews》(SCI)、《Journal of Renewable Materials》(EI、Scopus等收录)或《林业工程学报》（CSCD）上发表。注册参会者将会有SUST期刊赠送。
